The Veleatta Antoinette Adams Memorial Scholarship

Help us keep Veleatta's memory alive by relieving the financial burden for a deserving student!

The Veleatta Antoinette Adams scholarship was established in memory of Veleatta Adams, who died tragically in an automobile accident in 1997. Veleatta was an outstanding student who was devoted to her classmates and contributed to the University through her volunteer work, leadership, academic integrity, and membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Veleatta’s family and friends established this scholarship to carry on Veleatta’s legacy to help future generations of deserving students receive a first-class education at Radford University.

Your gift to the Veleatta Antoinette Adams Memorial Scholarship will broaden the reach of this scholarship and ensure Veleatta's memory will live on, continuing to support and inspire generations of students at Radford University.

The Thomas E. Hamlett Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Join us to help a rising sophomore continue their education by supporting the Thomas E. Hamlett Jr. Scholarship!

In 1992, while only in his second semester at Radford University, Thomas E. Hamlett Jr. developed bacterial meningitis and tragically passed away. Though new to the Radford campus, Hamlett was well-liked among the college community and very involved on campus, with hopes of joining Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Following his untimely death, his parents partnered with several on-campus organizations to establish the Thomas E. Hamlett Jr. Memorial Scholarship in honor of their son.

Your gift to this fund will reduce the financial burden for a student who, like Thomas E. Hamlett Jr., is a promising rising sophomore, allowing them to continue and complete their education at Radford University.

The Clementine Hansley-Hurt Memorial Scholarship

Help relieve the financial burden for a promising psychology student in honor of Clementine Hansley-Hurt!

Clementine Hansley-Hurt was an associate professor of psychology at Radford University. In addition to being active in multiple psychology associations, her work with civic organizations included membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the national Coalition of 100 Black Women and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

To commemorate her outstanding efforts and to continue her legacy, friends and co-workers established the Clementine Hansley-Hurt Memorial Scholarship to encourage and assist psychology majors in financial need.
