 ABOUT

The Wicked Problems Toolkit project was initiated in 2022 to enable undergraduate students from multiple academic disciplines to work closely with dedicated faculty members to examine and find solutions to "wicked problems." Wicked problems are the complex and persistent problems that plague our society and the world such as pandemics, terrorism, refugees, violent extremism and climate change.

This project gives our students and faculty the unique and prestigious opportunity to partner with the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (UN-PRME, pronounced UN-"prime") network to develop a “toolkit” of educational resources related to wicked problems and their solutions.

Some of the educational resources included in the toolkit are case studies, syllabi, teaching exercises, journal articles and student research outputs. They will be free for instructors at Radford University, and even scholars around the world, to use in preparing future generations of leaders to solve complex problems in their respective societies.

With your support, we can help our students make their mark to an international audience.

 OPPORTUNITY FOR INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE

This crowdfunding campaign seeks your support for our students to complete their work and present the results of their year-long research at an international conference, the 10th Responsible Management Education Research Conference in Lisbon, in September 2023, hosted by the ISCTE Business School.

By participating in the international conference, our students will be able to give a public account of their work and publicize the results of their research on a global stage. Making the Toolkit available as an international resource for educators to use for their teaching and research elevates Radford University students as leaders in this space.

The work of the Wicked Problems Toolkit, along with the unique invitation from the UN-PRME, will enable our students to make a unique contribution to solving the most difficult problems of our time.

This is a transformative opportunity for our students and Radford University. They have worked hard on this project over the past several months. Please help us make their dream come true!
